Gold Painted Flowers and Branches.
The other day on planet pinterest I pinned an awesome post from the inspiring blog Creature Comforts. It detailed hand painting flower petals.

How wonderful is this? |
I just loved the idea that a touch of gold acrylic paint could partner with the natural beauty of a dahlia flower. The picture went right onto my “to do” board.

Creature Comforts suggests starting "with flowers with firm and distinct petals such as zinnias, daises, or open roses and Using a small paintbrush and gold acrylic paint." |

Later that same day I was in Artifacts

and I discovered this bunch of awesome vine branches. Not only did the branches look like tentacles which made them off the chart awesome; they had gold paint added here and there. I had to have them, and lucky for me they were on sale.
My lightly golden treasures.
Can you see the Gold ? |
I clearly need a new vase for these lovey things! |
Yeah definitely need a new vase!
By the way Artifacts is freaking awesome. The gentlemen who owns (and I assume dose all the buying at the) store has the most exquisite taste I have ever encountered. No joke. I would buy everything in the store if I could. I once asked him how he came to develop his taste and he said "it was really more of a learning to limit then include instinct." I thought about it all day after that.
